Soap & Glory Makeup Range Review

Hey guys!
So I recently went on a bit of a Soap & Glory haul and bought quite a few of their makeup products, and wow is all I can say.
I remember trying their 'Sexy Mother Pucker' lip gloss many years ago and not liking the tingly sensation. Needless to say I decided Soap & Glory wasn't for me and every time I've seen a product since I've walked past not bothering to check it out.
However, at the end of 2011 they launched their new makeup range, and now finally needing to update my staple makeup bag I decided to check it out.
I was not disappointed.
Firstly their foundation, which comes in a simple 30ml bottle, and also contains primer has provided my skin with a fantastic coverage AND it's a quarter of what I paid for my previous Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua! Needless to say I won't be buying another Chanel foundation now. I was seriously pleased with this.
I also bought the Solar Powder bronzer kit which has a part bronzer and part highlighter which you pretty much use all in one to contour and give your face that sun kissed glow. These are also fantastic, I love that the bronzer isn't too glittery so that your makeup doesn't look tacky. The bronzer is perfect, and it comes with a mini brush too so you can touch up when you're on the go!

I also bought the eye primer, which keeps on your eye makeup all night without any need for re-touching! Move over Urban Decay primer. Again at a cheaper price than most of the higher end products at 8 pounds.

I also got the Glow All Out highlighter, another brilliant product that really emphasises my cheekbones and gives me that radiant look that I really wanted to achieve. This works really well with the foundation too as that gives off a dewy look.

I'd say the only minor issue I've had is that after wearing the foundation for a while it can feel rather heavy on your skin. I've only really noticed this after getting in from an evening out, but at least then you can immediately remove it!

All in all I think the Soap & Glory makeup range is fantastic, I can't wait to try the other products soon!

Hey guys! Little Update

Hi guys,
So I have been out of the loop for a LONG time, I want to apologise, 2011 was pretty hectic for me, what with having a full time job and also my laptop decided to die :( which meant it was difficult to update my blog, create and edit youtube videos.

HOWEVER, today after a very long time, I decided to check over my emails and found that I had missed out on a LOT of opportunities from YouTube, companies and a lot of lovely comments from my followers regarding my videos. I am actually overwhelmed that anyone would firstly follow me, let alone want me to review their products/websites etc. So thank you to everyone who has subscribed to my channel, follows me on twitter or if you decide to follow my blog.

2012 is the year for me to really put a lot more energy into the things I love, and YouTube videos and blogging are things I really love so you'll see a LOT more from me very soon. I PROMISE.

I'm currently borrowing my sisters laptop whilst I shop around for a decent one to buy, I really want a Macbook but as I'm going to America later this year (California, Vegas & Florida), I'm not sure I can justify spending so much on a laptop. Anyway, if you guys know of a good laptop- especially for video editing etc let me know!

Again thank you SO much for subscribing or just reading this post!

Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

The ASOS Game

Hi guys!

So ASOS.com is now a hugely established website, even though I've shopped on it since it was a just a little baby in the Online shopping world.

Now if you read the title of this blog you might be wondering what The ASOS Game is! Well I'll tell you, here's what you need to do to play the game:

You will need: Internet access, friends to compete with..

Step #1: Go to ASOS.com
Step #2: You have 5 minutes to find the most horrific item you can
Step#3: To decide on a winner I've (sadly) created a points system so you can decide who wins:
  • Worst colour + 5 points
  • Most depressed model wearing said item(s) in photos +10 points
  • Most ashamed expression on model when walking down the catwalk +10 points
  • Most expensive outfit/item +10 points
  • Animal themed outfit + 5 points
  • Worst shaped item + 5 points
Rules:

If you're playing this guys vs girls, you can only choose from your genders category where you would normally shop. You also have to choose an item of clothing that has the catwalk feature. No shoes/accessories allowed, unless you ignore the points for photos/catwalk or make up your own points.

I know this seems quite sad but I do this all the time with friends (well, not with a points system I just added that in so that it's more of a game!) but it's sooo much fun! There really are some interesting finds out there!

If you want to play the game but have no one to play with, feel free to post a link below to the item you choose- although make sure you only take 5 minutes to choose! xoxo

P.s I apologise if any one has bought any of the above items and is offended by this post, this is just a bit of fun!

Tutorial: How to Wash Human Hair Clip-in Extensions

Hi guys!

I've just uploaded my first tutorial video showing you how to wash human clip-in hair extensions. If, like me, you wear extensions, it's very important to keep them in good condition in order for them to last as long as possible.

Human hair extensions can last between 6 months to a year, it really depends on how much you wear them and how well you look after them!

I wanted to upload a tutorial for washing hair extensions because I've seen a lot of other you-tubers do this but they've all washed the hair extensions in one go. Even though this is fine to do, the extensions will all tangle together and it's a lot better to focus on one section at a time.

You can watch my video HERE

I'll upload more hair extension tutorials soon and an FAQ on common questions I get asked about my hair extensions. If you have any questions you'd like to include in this or for me to answer let me know below.

Hope this helps you! xoxo

A few new beauty buys!

OK so I've just uploaded my latest vlog which is yet another haul, you can view it here

I wanted to highlight something I bought from TOPSHOP which was their angled brush. Now I've been using this brush for the last couple of days, it cost £4, and I have to say it's actually really good. I plan to go back and pick up some more brushes, as they're all fairly cheap, you can view them at this link << Their total makeup brush set is only £26, so I'm thinking about investing in that :) I like to trial items that aren't always 'high end' as there really are some decent products out there that don't cost the earth and I rarely see them being reviewed on YouTube!

I also wanted to mention the MAC eyeshadow I got, which is the beautiful Patina.

Now I'm sure many of you bloggers will be familiar with this eyeshadow. It's absolutely gorgeous! I don't think it could look bad on anyone, so again definitely worth a buy! If you want to match it with other MAC colours I would suggest MAC's cork, which you blend into the eye socket, and Charcoal Brown or Embark along the lash line.
